Meet The Therapist

Hi, my name is Paige, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I am also able to provide telehealth services in Ohio, West Virginia, Colorado, Florida, and Virginia. I am a National Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and EMDR-trained therapist. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University and have worked across inpatient, outpatient, community mental health, and private practice settings.

The philosophy behind LuminaPath Counseling & Wellness is rooted in the idea that therapy is not about someone else choosing your direction—it is about having support and guidance as you find your own way forward. Much like a lighthouse provides guidance through uncertain waters without determining the destination, I believe my role as a therapist is to provide a steady, supportive space while helping you reconnect with yourself and discover the path that feels right for you.

My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and integrative. Healing is not one-size-fits-all, so I draw from different therapeutic approaches based on your experiences, needs, comfort level, and goals. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and also incorporate parts-informed work and other trauma-focused approaches when appropriate. Together, we can explore the experiences, patterns, and emotions that may be keeping you feeling stuck while building upon the strengths and resilience you already possess.

Types of Therapy Offered

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling provides a space to focus on you—your experiences, challenges, needs, and goals. At LuminaPath Counseling & Wellness, we believe therapy is not about telling you which direction to take, but supporting and guiding you as you find the path that feels right for you. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, therapy is tailored to your individual needs. Together, we can explore what may be contributing to the challenges you're experiencing, build upon the strengths you already possess, and work toward meaningful growth and change.

Child/Adolescent Counseling

Growing up comes with challenges, and sometimes children and adolescents need additional support navigating their emotions, experiences, and relationships. At LuminaPath Counseling & Wellness, we provide a supportive and individualized space to help young people better understand themselves, develop healthy coping skills, and work through the challenges they may be facing.

Whether your child is experiencing anxiety, depression, difficulties with relationships, life transitions, or other emotional or behavioral concerns, counseling is tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Couples/Marriage Counseling

Relationships can be complicated, and even strong relationships can experience periods of conflict, disconnection, or uncertainty. At LuminaPath Counseling & Wellness, we provide couples and marriage counseling designed to create a supportive space where both partners can feel heard, better understand one another, and work toward their shared goals. Together, we can explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen communication and connection, and work toward finding a healthier path forward.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) & Parts Work

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma-focused therapy designed to help the brain process experiences that may continue to feel distressing or unresolved. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or alternating tapping, while working with memories, emotions, beliefs, and body sensations connected to difficult experiences.

Why I Use EMDR?

Sometimes you can understand exactly why you feel the way you do and still find yourself stuck in the same emotions, reactions, or patterns. This is one of the reasons I value EMDR—it gives us another way to work with experiences that may be difficult to move through with talk therapy alone.

My role is to guide and support you throughout the process while making sure we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There is no pressure to rush the process or be "ready" before you are.

What is Parts Work?

Parts Work is an approach that helps us understand the different "parts" of ourselves that may carry certain emotions, beliefs, memories, or protective responses. For example, one part of you may want to move forward while another feels afraid, guarded, or unsure. Rather than trying to get rid of these parts, we work to understand where they came from, what they may be protecting, and what they need.

Why I Incorporate Parts Work?

We all have different sides of ourselves, and sometimes those parts can seem like they're working against us. You might have one part that wants to move forward while another feels afraid, guarded, angry, or unsure. I use Parts Work to create space for curiosity rather than judgment about these responses.

Instead of asking, "What's wrong with me?" we can begin asking, "What is this part of me trying to tell me or protect me from?" Together, we can better understand these different parts of you and help you approach them with more compassion, understanding, and a sense of safety.

I often incorporate Parts Work alongside EMDR because healing does not look the same for everyone. Taking time to understand the parts of you that may feel hesitant, protective, or overwhelmed can help us approach trauma work in a way that feels more supportive and individualized.

Together, these approaches allow us to explore not only what you are experiencing, but what may be underneath it—while helping you move through the healing process at a pace that feels right for you.

In addition to EMDR and Parts Work, I incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities, allowing us to find the tools and direction that best support your individual needs and goals.
